Set a Goal – How much do you want to make? How many people do you want to have at your event?
Plan Ahead – Clients should start their fundraising planning three to six months ahead. It’s important to understand how to make the event successful. There are many factors that need to be planned and are time sensitive. The more you know, the more successful your event can be!
Sponsors – You want to get all the casino tables, the DJ, the bar, the prize table all sponsored. Sponsorships represent one of the most important aspects of a successful fundraiser.
Budget – Put together a comprehensive list of all expected expenses. (Venue, food, beverage, casino, signage, décor, prizes, advertising, equipment rentals, tablecloths, cleaning, etc.) Likewise, what revenues will you have coming in? (Ticket sales, sponsorships, food and/or drink sales, auction or raffle proceeds, additional casino donations)
Additional Money Making Possibilities – Are you going to have a silent or live auction? Sell raffle tickets? 50/50? Wine Pull? Card Rip? There are many excellent ways to augment the event, which can really impact the bottom line.
